I often play around and experiment with elements and colors and textures on my own. Americans call this "doodling," drawing for the sake of drawing. I have never kept track of these scratchings but now I think I should, in case a client sees something interesting that is not in my portfolio of finished works. Maybe this will also remind me of what works and what doesn't.
